Part 2 of animals!!!!

So the other night we were in Colby's room talkin when we heard a noise and tuffy (the cat) up on the top bunk to check it out. KarLee got Ryan and he went putside with the flash light!
It was a baby something?? But what a porcupine?? Like what we seen the other night??
Thought so, but we googled and thhis is what we came up with"

Porcupine

or

or Possum?

or a hedghog??

WE think it is>>>

We think it is a Muskrat!? Why? Its tail......It looked like this one! LONG!

Here is some info:

Muskrats are found at some streams and safe canals because that's where they like to live. The muskrat and the beaver are from the same family. Muskrats belong to the Cricetidae family. They walk on four legs like most mammals do. The muskrat has little hairs that are waterproof, and the hair that is called protective guard hair is long and brown. The muskrat has webbed feet for swimming. They burrow in the banks of a river or in marshes. They are farmed sometimes as their furs are valuable. They have families of six in a litter. The muskrat is a lot like the
beaver but is a few inches smaller. The muskrat is also brown.
Hummmmmmm????? Whatever it was ripe the crap out of the screen in the familyroom & Colbys room!

Animals....

So a little bit of excitement last week....
Colby & I were pulling in the drive way (it was dark) and almost hit a doe! Yea in our drive way!
We could see her running in our back yard and we seen a little spike in the pasture next to our house.
So we drove back in the yard just a bit and there in the tree was this scary looking monster?? I called Ryan and KarLee (they were home/in the house), Colby and I were a little scared and not about to get out of the car. We could not figure out what was in the tree?! Ryan came out with a flashlight and he keep walking closer and closer, then it started to come down! It was huge!! Ryan said it was a porcupine! I couldn't believe that they could climb trees!! Meanwhile the doe was eating the leaves on the little cherry tree.
It was exciting night!
Colby and I were really scared!! It had to be the biggest porcupine that I have seen!! We sat there for a while watching it climb the tree.
The next day we google porcupines and the do climb trees and eat apples!! They like to return night after night and feed at the same place!!
Since there are apples still in the trees the deer and the porcupines are getting there belly's full!! And we get to watch!!
Sorry no pictures.....

Yesterday...........

So Ryan had the day off work, and called and wanted to go to lunch!! (Such a sweet husband!)
So we decide to have a late lunch at 2pm. Went to Homestead, ran into my cousin and his wife, so we had lunch with them. Ryan hadn't met them, they were out of town during our wedding. It was a nice lunch! My cousin had been visiting schools for the Veterans Assemblies, so he was all dressed in uniform!!
Then Ryan and I went and got the kids from school. Went back to my work to get a piece of lumber (Ryan finished the closet its so wonderful and looks great!). KarLee wanted to ride with Ryan, Colby went to start my car and Ryan and I walk out to go get the lumber.

This is what happened, so funny!!
I guess KarLee walk out with us, but it had started to rain so she went back inside. Ryan & I got the lumber he went to his truck I went to my car were Colby was. We went to leave as I am asking Colby: Your sister was in Ryan's truck right? He said I think she walk out when you two walked out?? I said as I drive away: well I hope she got in! Ryan was be hide us.
We were all going to run to the Verizon store.
Just then (about 3 blocks away from my work) my work calls: You want us to sell this little girl? I start laughing!! They start laughing!
Colby says you did, Didn't you , You forgot KarLee!
So I turn around go back to get KarLee while I call Ryan and tell him what happened, As I am laughing!
He just thought she changed her mind and got in with me!
KarLee thought it was funny too! Thank goodness!

Barack Obama elected 44th president

The election of Barack Obama as the first African-American president.

I am proud to say "I did vote for Barack Obama and this was a Historic Election"!

Not to say I agree with everything he does.
Obama will have a tough road ahead, faced with alot of tough challenges.

I was very impressed with McCain speech:

“This is an historic election,” McCain told supporters in Phoenix. “I recognize the special significance it has for African-Americans and for the special pride that must be theirs tonight.
“We both recognize that though we have come a long way from the old injustices that once stained our nation’s reputation and denied some Americans the full blessings of American citizenship, the memory of them still have the power to wound,” McCain said. president of the United States.“The American people have spoken, and they have spoken clearly,” McCain told supporters in Phoenix, saying that he “recognized the special significance” Obama’s victory had for African-Americans.
“We both recognize that though we have come a long way from the old injustices that once stained our nation’s reputation and denied some Americans the full blessings of American citizenship, the memory of them still have the power to wound,” McCain said.
“Let there be no reason for any American to fail to cherish their citizenship in this, the greatest nation on Earth,” said McCain, who pledged his support and help for the new president.

“If there is anyone out there who doubts that America is a place where anything is possible, who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time, who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer,” Obama declared.
“Young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Hispanic, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled, Americans have sent a message to the world that we have never been just a collection of red states and blue states,” he said. “We have been and always will be the United States of America.
“It’s been a long time coming, but tonight, because of what we did on this day, in this election, at this defining moment, change has come to America.” Barack Obama
